#HKescapes: A postcard from Malaysia
Our #HKescapes trips are an exclusive and invitation-only passport to the world’s most desired destinations.
Last week, we set off to the beautiful Pangkor Laut Resort – a private island off the coast of Malaysia – with 5 of Australia’s most fashionable It girls. Scroll down for more on our monkey-spotting, beach-combing, yoga-at-dawn adventures…
Day 1: The #HKescapes crew land in KL for a quick stopover. Luxe crashpad Hotel Stripes is our home for the night and we’re in awe of the amazing cityscape from the rooftop infinity pool.

Day 2: We arrive via speedboat at Pangkor Laut Resort – a beautiful, private-island escape with stunning villas dotted across the hillside and over the water. We feel like we’ve landed in heaven….

Day 3: Sunrise yoga on the beach to start the day, followed by a hectic schedule which includes falling out of hammocks, a very lazy lunch, and sunbathing under the dappled shade of palm trees on the pristine beach we have all to ourselves – blissful.

Day 4: Today is dedicated to Pangkor Laut’s amazing spa. “Our spa isn’t just a place, it’s a philosophy” they tell us, and after a sublime holistic spa experience, encompassing tea rituals, traditional Malaysian bath house rituals and aromatheraputic treatments based in Chinese healing, we couldn’t agree more
The gorgeous Kate wearing our Navy Pom Pom Scarf
Day 5: The highlight of today is definitely the sunset cruise, allowing us a different perspective of the island as we cruise out on a traditional teakwood Oriental junk. Hand-shaken cocktails are served as we watch the stars appear in the darkening sky and are accompanied on our way by shoals of cute needlefish.

Day 6: Our last day, and we’re so sad to be heading back to reality, but watching the monkeys jump from palm to palm in the lush jungle that fringes the island takes our minds off it. A sunset dinner on the deck overlooking the crystalline waters is the perfect end to our trip.
