Head of PR (Full-time or Part-time, salary dependent on hours and experience)

Heidi Klein is the UK’s leading luxury swimwear and beachwear brand.  Established in 2002, the brand is well known for its effortlessly chic and unmistakably luxe resortwear and accessories.  

With flagship stores in London, St Lucia, Porto Montenegro and Punta del Este, a network of prestigious stockists including Saks, Bergdorfs, and Harrods, and an exciting global ecommerce replatforming project in the pipeline, Heidi Klein is poised for ambitious growth in 2017 and beyond.

We now have an opening for an experienced Head of PR to join our small but dynamic marketing team.  This role will be responsible for the development and delivery of an innovative global communications strategy that will underpin our brand values and our positioning in the competitive landscape.  The successful candidate will be a creative and strategic thinker, and will be just as comfortable working with digital influencers and platforms, as they are within traditional print media.  

The role will report to the Global Head of Marketing, and will work closely with our Creative Director / Co-founder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an integrated, cross-channel strategic PR plan to reinforce Heidi Klein’s brand identity; broaden awareness of our offering and  increase the visibility of our brand across key stakeholder audiences
  • Creatively execute eye-catching PR campaigns to drive highly targeted engagement and ultimately conversions within our primary markets (UK, US, EU, AU)
  • Test and identify international and emerging market opportunities and build business cases to demonstrate potential RoI for in-market PR presence
  • Align all PR planning and activity with the broader Heidi Klein marketing objectives
  • Define and manage the annual PR budget
  • Undertake regular competitive analysis and ensure Heidi Klein is at forefront of new developments in media, platforms, and influencer communities
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the PR function including budgeting, planning and staff development
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
  • Plan and execute seasonal in-store media events in London, New York and other relevant markets to launch new collections
  • Oversee the day-to-day development of relevant press materials, sample requests, weekly media reports, monthly board reports, and other reporting as necessary

Skills and Experience:

  • A proven track record of delivering PR results and the ability to link them to commercial outcomes
  • An enviable contacts book in luxury lifestyle and fashion media, and the ability to proactively build relationships with top tier editors and high-level digital influencers
  • Experience in the management of multi-stakeholder projects and achieving goals on time and to budget
  • Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills
  • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
  • Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs
  • Excellent and persuasive communicator
  • Hard working, flexible, collaborative, and proactive
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills

This role is office-based at our HQ in London W3, and could be either full time or part time (circa 30-35 hrs a week).

Resortwear Designer

Job Purpose:

Work closely with the Creative Director to design our luxury resortwear collections (currently includes swimwear, RTW and accessories)

Reporting to:

Creative Director

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design all collections within agreed parameters
  • Show technical skills with fabrics, garment construction and finishing
  • Accurately analyse commercial briefs
  • Be able to draw by hand and use software (Illustrator, Photoshop) when necessary
  • Produce technical packs and liaise with factories
  • Work closely with Head of Products to ensure critical path deadlines are met
  • Constantly stay up to date with trends in fabrics, colours and shapes
  • Show ability to work with collaborative partners
  • Offer creative solutions in conjunction with factories
  • Manage team

Experience:

The ideal candidate should have a luxury fashion background with a good knowledge of the resortwear market. Experience in designing accessories would be welcome. Strong personality, confident, passionate and hardworking.

 Web customer services assistant

Manage all aspects of the online customer service for heidiklein.com

  • Supporting the customer services team
  • Dealing directly with customers
  • Handling enquirers and complaints

Good understanding of reporting, including excel, is important. Previous experience working with stock systems would be preferred.

Reporting to: Head of ecommerce

Role and responsibilities

  • Work with the ecom team to ensure products accurately appear on site
  • Support the online team with order fulfilment
  • Ensure team have awareness of stock movement

Wholesale Intern, North Acton

We are offering a Wholesale Internship to join our lovely team and assist in the below tasks:

  • Research new markets and customers
  • Update the website and stockist database
  • Targets and send out invitations for upcoming shows
  • All campaign and showroom preparation (Paris, New York and London)
  • Wholesale administration - entering orders, dealing with returns and assisting with reorders
  • Logistics administration- assist with shipping invoices, ensuring orders are packed as order confirmations
  • Sample Management- sending samples to clients, updating packing invoices, tracking numerous parcels


The candidate must have an interest in Fashion and Sales and works well within a small team. They should be a self-starter that is able to multi-task, be highly organised, possess good communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as having sound Excel knowledge.  

They should also be able to hit the ground running, be reliable and willing to help with all tasks as required. 

We are looking for the successful candidate to start May and be available full time for a minimum of 3 months.

Travel and Lunch Expenses will be covered within London.
