Heidi Klein x Sophie Anderson Collaboration
We've teamed up with colourful accessories designer Sophie Anderson to create a limited edition capsule collection of six bikini styles with a truly unique global flavour. Launched on preorder last week, with orders shipping now, our Sophie Anderson collaboration is our fastest-selling design story to date!
Fabricated using artisan techniques and popping with eccentric, quirky detail, our exclusive bikini range draws on patterns woven to her design by Colombia’s Wayuu people.
The collection includes the feminine flora and fauna aqua print Isla Baru, the loud and fun vibrant pink Rosario collection and the cool edgy geometric print Palomino collection, inspired after living in the historical old streets of Getsemani, Cartagena.
“Sophie has a unique style which we knew would look amazing in a range of luxury bikinis. We wanted to capture the authenticity of Sophie’s bags and incorporate the rawness in to a few key signature pieces” – Heidi Gosman
Technology behind the designs:
These stunning prints are directly influenced by Sophie Anderson’s traditionally hand-woven bags made in Colombia. The fabric has been made exclusively on a one-of-a-kind loom in France and cannot be replicated anywhere else. This artisan technique takes the visual image of a print and translates it into a jacquard, meaning the design is tightly knitted rather than printed on top, making the colours and print really pop!
The yarn is also produced and dyed in France, and all fabrics are tested rigorously.
All pieces featuring hand-plaited trims are specially made with internal elastic preventing any overstretching or for it to lose its shape.
To complete the ultimate summer look, all three striking woven designs are finished with playful handmade waterproof pom-poms.
Adding a new direction for Heidi Klein, these exceptional pieces are available in our classic triangle and bandeau shapes.
“I wanted to translate our personality into this collaboration offering the same to the Heidi Klein customer. Collaborating with Heidi and her lovely team felt like a natural and flattering opportunity for me” – Sophie Anderson

The gorgeous lifestyle blogger Niomi Smart gives us a sneak peek into her new healthy recipe book, Eat Smart.
“One of my favourite things to do with friends is share afternoon tea; it’s a great way to see old friends and gossip over cake. This loaf is perfect for slicing up and sharing. There’s something very wholesome about the combination of banana and date, with the added crunch from the walnuts.”
DATE, WALNUT + BANANA LOAF
coconut oil, for greasing
2½ ripe bananas, peeled
200g (1½ cups) buckwheat flour
25g (¼ cup) chopped unsalted raw walnuts
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
110g (2/3 cup) deglet nour dates, pitted and chopped
190ml (¾ cup) unsweetened almond milk
a pinch of Himalayan pink salt or sea salt
- Preheat the oven to 170ºC/325ºF/gas 3 and grease an 18cm x 8cm loaf tin with a little coconut oil and line with greaseproof paper.
- Mash 2 bananas and slice the remaining half-banana.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, walnuts, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and a pinch of salt.
- Stir in the mashed and sliced bananas and chopped dates and slowly add the almond milk until the mixture is fully combined.
- Pour the mixture into the tin and bake in the hot oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden and cooked through. To check whether the loaf is cooked, insert a knife into the centre of the loaf – if it comes out clean it is done, if still sticky, return to the oven and bake for a further 15 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
